Darkness in Paradise Website Launch

I can't believe the day is finally here! My jewelry brand Darkness in Paradise website is now OPEN. Can you believe I've held on to the name Darkness in Paradise for over 15 years? Yes, 15 years. Of course, back then I had a different vision for what I wanted to do. I really wanted a heavy metal music store. Back when I was writing my business plan, records were making a comeback and there I was still buying CDs. Well, long story short my dreams went in the trash can, and I felt completely lost and depressed--not knowing what I wanted to do or where I was going career wise. For a very long time, I worked odd jobs, but nothing related to my major or my interests. Till one day I came across a job ad for a production jewelry assistant. Soon after, I started learning bench stuff--soldering, grinding, and stone setting. I was hooked. I learned through books, and online training, but mostly by making jewelry every single day. I work full time as a bench jeweler for a local company here on O'ahu and then go straight home to make DiP jewelry--which by the way are totally opposite aesthetics! During the day, I make pretty beach inspired and delicate botanical jewelry then at night I go home and make weird eyeballs and knife jewelry! I absolutely love it.
